Workwear and PPE guides
These guides explain the codes and classes you meet when choosing workwear and protective equipment: S3 on a safety shoe, 4X43D on a glove, Class 2 on a vest, FFP3 on a mask. Each one is based on the relevant European standard and links to the product groups it concerns.
The guides are written so that purchasing, safety and site teams use the same terms. Standard values are checked against published standard summaries and official regulations, and each guide lists the standards it relies on.
If a guide does not quite fit your situation, or you are unsure about a product choice, describe the conditions on site and we will settle the selection together. The final decision always rests on the workplace risk assessment.
