Which fabric suits hospital uniforms?
Blends that wash at sixty degrees, hold colour against chlorine-based disinfectants and dry quickly. No fabric decision should be made before the facility's laundry protocol is known.
What is the difference between scrubs and a coat?
Scrubs are a top-and-trouser set worn in clinical areas. A coat is a long outer layer worn over other clothing and is preferred in outpatients, laboratories and administrative areas.
Why are laboratory coats white?
So soiling and chemical splashes show immediately. White also tolerates hot washing and bleaching better than any coloured fabric.
How should pockets be arranged in healthcare clothing?
A pen in a chest pocket falls out when bending; scissors in a low pocket dig in when sitting. Flapped pockets shifted towards the side seam, with a separate narrow pen slot, is the safest layout.
