Freedom of movement is the critical point: without enough ease across the shoulders and back, the coverall pulls as soon as the arms are raised. An action back and an elasticated waist solve this.
The closure changes with use: where quick dressing matters, a two-way zip; where there is spark risk, a covered concealed zip.
Sizing a coverall is more delicate than sizing a two-piece suit: if the body length is short the shoulders pull, if it is long the hems gather. For bulk orders, cutting separate patterns by height group gives a better result than simply scaling one pattern up.
The intensity of soiling decides the colour. Maintenance crews working with oil and grease hide marks better in dark tones; in hygiene-led areas such as food and pharmaceuticals light colours are preferred precisely because soiling should be visible.

Frequently asked questions
Coverall or two-piece suit?
A coverall suits work where soiling is heavy and spread across the body; a two-piece suit is more practical where clothing is changed often and breaks are frequent. We listen to site habits and decide together.
Are coveralls too hot in summer?
With standard fabric, yes. Summer coveralls use lower fabric weight, mesh ventilation at the back and underarms, short sleeves or detachable sleeves. These constructions suit sites where soiling risk is high but so is the heat.
Can the knee area be reinforced?
Yes. Double fabric, cordura reinforcement or a knee pad pocket can be added. In plumbing and assembly crews the knee is where a coverall tears first, so this reinforcement noticeably extends service life.
Where is a coverall preferred?
Wherever no gap at the waist is acceptable: welding, paint shops, tank maintenance, dusty and chemical environments. It is also more protective for work involving constant bending.
Disposable or woven coverall?
Disposable coveralls are a temporary barrier against dust and splash and are discarded when soiled. A woven coverall is daily workwear, washed and relied on for mechanical strength; they are not interchangeable.
